Train Your Brain
A low-impact dance and movement class for those with physical limitations. Based on the Dance for Parkinson's class at the Mark Morris Dance Group (Brooklyn) this class has been expanded to include others who need a low-impact class. Suitable for those with joint or muscle weakness, Parkinson's or even Alzheimer's diseases. Specially designed to improve balance, gait and to enhance the connection between brain and body. This class is done mostly in a chair, but the workout on the barres and across the floor can be done from a seated position. The class is about the at, technique and fun of dancing and movement, not about limitations and not therapy. No experience is needed.
